In September, our successful enrichment programme will be entering its 5th year.

This provision runs on a Wednesday afternoon at the end of the school day and welcomes Year 5 & 6 students from our local primary schools for a fun taste of Shuttleworth.

Run by Mr. Turner and Miss. Roach, our transition team, the programme incorporates teaching staff from all curriculum areas enabling primary students to get to know the school, experience additional curriculum opportunities that they would not otherwise be exposed to, and ease the transition to secondary school.

The sessions run from 3.30-4.30pm, with students welcome to join us from 3pm. We understand that scaffolded pick up times can make it difficult to reach us by 3.30, so your child is more than welcome to join us at any point during the session.

For further information, please contact Miss. Roach by emailing or Mr. Turner via

“Increasing numbers of parents are choosing the school for their children. Leaders ensure that pupils in Year 6 benefit from an extremely effective programme to support their transition from primary school. Pupils in other year groups can develop their leadership skills through their involvement in this well-planned programme of activities.”
